Kleeware Dolls House Furniture was produced by the Company O & M Kleemann in the 1950’s at their factory in Welwyn Garden City. The company was founded in 1938, by Max Kleemann, and made plastic moulded household items, under the Kabroloid Brand. During the war they produced radio parts for the Ministry of Defence. After the war they returned to making injection moulded products, alongside compression moulding machines, increasing their line to the production of small toys, including dolls, model trucks, planes and dolls house furniture. They were made using the Kleeware brand, in their factory in Aycliffe County Durham. Woolworth’s was one of the retailers who sold their products, which were exported all over the world. In 1959 they were sold out to Rosedale plastics.
I have a few odd bits of Kleeware furniture, some of them are quite nice. Other pieces like the dressing table do not have as much detail, compared to the bed.
