I made a few mistakes when I started collecting Triang Furniture, buying Blue Box furniture made in Hong Kong. Being new to Triang Furniture collecting, not much on the Web and very few books to refer to, I made a few buying errors. When you put each piece next to each other, it is easy to see the difference. I found a very interesting Blog Post on ‘Dolls Dolls Dolls’, with lots of good pictures, and information about Blue Box Furniture……

Dolls, Dolls, Dolls

Another rainy day was spent photographing the rest of the furniture and packing it up into boxes again. As there is a lot of  this tiny furniture I have decided to split it into two posts.

In this post I’ll show you some furniture from Blue Box in the smaller 1:24 scale.

Blue Box

Blue Box furniture was made by the Blue Box Toy Company of Hong Kong. This company was founded in 1952 by Peter Chan Pui.  As well as dolls and dolls houses Blue Box made a large range of other types of toys including toy soldiers, model farms and die-cast models.Unlike many of the other toy companies I’ve read about Blue Box is still operating as a toy manufacturer now headed by CEO David Chan the son of the founder.
