Lines and Tri-ang Toy and Dolls’ House sale

There is an Auction taking place later this month [March 20th and 21st] that is probably the largest collection of Lines and Triang toys on offer at auction, with Day 1 containing 395 lots with many Lines, Tri-ang, tinplate toys, vehicles, clockwork toys boats planes and trains many complete with boxes. Day 2 has 369 lots including 100 dolls’ houses, both Lines, Tri-ang and a small selection of German houses.  Also hundreds of pieces of furniture, many of the Period Furniture Range boxed, either individually. or in sets, [Tri-ang Period Dolls’ House Jacobean Dining Room Suite] also a kit version of Period Furniture [Tri-ang Period Furniture Construction Set No.1], which I have never seen before.

Special Auction Services who are holding the Auction states …….. ‘You Will Probably Not See a Collection Like it Again… A Large Selection of Dolls’ Houses,  A single owner collection of G & J Lines and Lines Bros Tri-ang vehicles, toys and dolls’ houses, over 700 lots, this two day auction, toys on Tuesday 20th and dolls’ houses and chattels on Wednesday 21st.  The vehicles ranging from wooden horse drawn to steel rocket launchers, charts the history of roadworthy vehicles from the 1860s to the 1960s.       A few of the estimates seem quite low, I am sure they will go higher. I wish I had the money to spend too….

      Thank you for your kind comments. The Auction is online, so I may watch if it goes on into the afternoon. I think very deep pockets will be needed.
