Welcome Jenny

This is Jenny the first person  to live in any of my houses.  She will be taking up residence in Bungalow A.

The first edition of the Jenny doll have moulded painted black/brown hair.  Jenny has a bendable body, I am not going to bend her as she is in such good condition, and I don’t want to damage her.

She is wearing a white short sleeved blouse, red skirt and a lovely silky pink three-quarter length sleeve  jacket.  Also painted white socks, but no shoes.

Jenny is a good size for a 1/16 Triang house, as you can see by the chair.  I do wonder what has caught her eye, she has an unusual look for a doll.

  1. Jenny has very well painted features for a 1:16 sized doll and she is in very nice condition. Do you know who made her? By the way, I love the budgie cage in the background. Didn’t we all have one of those in the sixties?

    1. Lee Higgins says:

Jenny was made under the Jennys Home Range of dolls house furniture etc. Pedigree Doll and Toy Ltd., was a subsidairy of Lines Bros. [Tri-ang], who produced the first Sindy doll in 1963, so there could be a connection here. The early Sindy dolls also had bendy arms and legs.
They also had painted features, [eyes looking left]

      1. That makes sense. I am a collector of Sindy so I can see the connection.
